Rear Camera/Flash Issues Recurring after multiple hard resets

Hi All,

So I've been having issues with my rear camera on Nexus 5 (my front facing camera works fine). Currently the camera and the flash will not work and basically stopped working some time around the upgrade to lollipop. While on lollipop, I tried uninstalling the app updates, restarting, clearing the cache...all the usual suggestions I've found online for dealing with this issue, but none of them work. Now, I'm currently running 6.0 and still the camera/flash are not working. Tonight I tried wiping the phone and reverting all the way back to kitkat 4.4.4 to see if that would fix it. I tried this multiple times, wiping and reflashing to various versions ranging from 4.4.0 to 6.0 to see if any would somehow fix the camera issue, but none worked.

At this point, I'm back on 6.0 and its still not working. My phone doesn't even show the default camera app in the app drawer. I have to access it through the shortcut on the lock screen and when I do I get the "Can't connect to the camera" message. I'm assuming its a hardware issue at this point, but wanted to know if anyone has any insight on this. From what I can tell, the flash is not part of the camera module, so if the camera itself broke, it seems like the camera flash should still be recognized and functional (its not in my case, not even an option for the default flashlight on the taskbar pull-down screen). I am wondering if its worth buying an oem replacement camera module and installing it to see if this fixes the issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Lumia 520 Randomly Reboots After Update

Hello everyone,

I currently have a Lumia 520. I am running WP8.1, OS version 8.10.14234.375.

About two months ago, I applied the "Random Reboot" system update.

Recently, my Lumia 520 has ironically been randomly rebooting. The reboots usually happen when I grab my phone from my pocket and hit the power button (to turn on the screen).

There seems to be no consistency in reboot timings.

Anyone else have this problem?

the phone restarted after the update and just got stuck in the boot screen....i did wipe the cache and restart it.......but didnt solve the problem.....is there a way to recover it witout data loss??...please help!!...there's some really important data on the phone i dont want to lose

A Question: Getting used to this phone after Note Edge. What i really miss...

the only application i miss from the Note Edge is the function to receive notifications, select apps, receive phone calls, forward/reverse music on edge so it doesn't disturb whatever ive been doing on the main screen.
has this function been added to s6 edge plus yet? or will it never be?

Vibration modes after 5.1.1?

Hi,

I've just installed COI4 on N910C and the vibration patterns are the same for every app, meaning:
Whatsapp, 2 short bursts or 2 long bursts if you change in-app settings.
Facebook, same as before. 2 quick short bursts for Messenger, 2 spaced short bursts for comments and notif.
Gmail and the rest: 2 long bursts.

How can I change it back to what it was in 5.0.1? Long, single burst for Gmail and Whatsapp (and the rest) and the default bursts per-app like Facebook?

Thanks in advance, don't hesitate to recommend any app that adds no lag between notifications and vibration! (not rooted though)

Huawei Ascend p7 all apps crash after lolipop5.1.1 update

I have installed the lolipop 5.1.1 end emui 3.1 from the offical update from Huawei. After that all apps crashes and take not responding. I`ve do the factory reset, but still the same.
Someone help? :D

I have a Galaxy s4 Mini gt 19195 and some time ago i flashed an CM12 ROM (lollipop) in there cuz it felt awesome .
But when i started using the phone the apps that needed rooting didn't work , superuser is there but its says the binary code is not installed or whatever
i tried to fix root from my CWM but nothing , reflashed the ROM and nothing , also retried the s4 mini Rootkit v2 but nothing

[Fix] Fix Netflix & Hulu not playing after root :)

This is a very easy and basic fix.

If you rooted you edge+ and cant run netflixs or hulu:

Download root explorer
Navigate to /system/lib/liboemcrypto.so
Rename or Delete liboemcrypto.so
Done!

Phone wont boot up after i tried installing a new rom

Okay, so i have a galaxy s blaze 4g and i am having troubles booting up my phone i tried installing the stock rom back onto it after having cm11 on it for a couple days but it was not letting me use the internet it would always give me errors and i am having trouble just getting it back to the stock rom it loads up says samsung and then goes blank i have no idea what to do i have been scrolling through the internet for hours on end trying to find a solution please help!! :c

[Rooted&Unlocked] CWM c6.0.5.1.4a - After broken "wipe cache partition" no keyboard

Hey guys.

Need a bit help.
I just start my cwm recovery in version 6.0.5.1.4a and after flashing the newest prerooted aftv rom, I thought it could be good to wipe cache partition. But it wasnt! It stock. 20 minutes long happens nothing.

Now my keyboard does not work anymore. No keyboard. The rest is fine.
I start over adb shell my cwm-recovery with "adb reboot recovery" and and using recovery-keyboard over putty.

There is written "Can't mount /cache/" and so on...

What should I do now?
At the moment I reflash the bueller-51.1.6.3_516012020-rooted.zip ,
and hope it will re-create the cache partition.

After Update 5.1.1 Problems with edge TimeOut and notifications

Hi Guys !!

I got some problems with the Edge after updating to 5.1.1. (no root, Germany DBT). The Edge TimOut is only working correctly@ 30 & 15 secondes - 1/2/5min the Edge running always without the display disabled. I do a wipe cache (nothing changes) und yesterday i do a factory reset without any changes (Firmware-Bug?). Besides that i have some problems with notifications on the Edge (sometimes it works sometime not - i need to disable all and activate after this Edge shows notifications). Anyone here same problems with the Edge Time Out and notifications..??

Stuck in HC Bootloader after unbrick, can't flash 4.x boot

Hello everybody, I come here because I have unbrick my A500 with a zip named "root-3.2.1-V4", this zip use EUUS acer tool to flash Android 3.2.1 (it seems like a stock rom with superuser installed and OTA disabled) with CWM 5.x and HC bootloader I presume, so I want to flash an ICS bootloader and lastest thor recovery for flash the lastest Android 5.1.1 but I don't find how to flash the newbootloader without the OTA and update.zip (because all link are dead), I have try this tutorial but i can only select the fourth recovery/bootloader and it make nvflash error :

So I've been at this for a couple of hours and I'm not sure which step I f*&%ed up at but I'm hoping someone can help. This all started when I decided to flash Jovy's DarthStalker ROM. First thing I did was wiped my phone (dalvik cache, cache, data, & system) then I odin'd CIO5 the reason was I was going to try and see if I could get Android pay to work by dirty flashing Jovy's ROM over a fresh install of CIO5. So after I setup Android Pay on CIO5 I flashed Jovy's ROM but couldn't get past the Samsung Galaxy splash screen. So I went back in twrp and used the bootloop fixer in his ROM installer and rebooted. When I was still having trouble, I went back into twrp and flashed arter's 6.0 kernel. That seemed to do the trick, the ROM booted and I started to check things out but I noticed I didn't have a network connection. So I tried to see what was going on but couldn't figure it out. I figured the issue had to do with the fact that I dirty flashed the ROM so I decided to go back into twrp and wipe everything and do it correctly. I followed his instructions of wiping dalvik cache, cache, & system then installing the ROM & selecting the full wipe option. After it finished installing and rebooted I once again got stuck on the Samsung splash screen. Since then I have odin'd CIO5 again after wiping everything but after the install & reboot the Android guy shows up and it says "installing updates" but it only goes halfway! Then it shows "Erasing" and takes me back to the Samsung splash screen. I even did a full factory reset and I still get the Samsung splash screen. As of right now I can get into to download mode and recovery but I don't know what to flash or odin....

Boot Loop Problem persists after installing Lollipop ROM & clean install

I was using the Blekota Note 4(based on Kitkat) on my i9300 when it one day suddenly it restarted on its own and went into a bootloop and heated up. So I took out the battery and tried starting it again by clearing cache and dalvik cache. But it was still stuck at bootloop. After about 3 hours, somehow it came back on its own, but all the data and settings were lost. The downloaded apps were present, but their settings were lost.

Since I would have to again set up all apps, I wanted to try a new rom, Lollipop based. I downloaded the latest RESURRECTION REMIX (5.5.7) apps and downloaded the OpenGapps micro package. But after trying a clean install, the boot loop problem was still there. I tried with a different Gapp package, from OmniRom thread (all were for Android 5.1) but still no help. Even flashing the ROM alone would be of no help. I remembered I had a similar problem after flashing Boeffla kernel and the solution in that case was flashing a new version of the kernal. I tried that also. But no help.

I changed my recovery from CWM to TWRP as someone in some thread mentioned that it could help. But still No avail. In doing a clean rom, I tried almost 3 roms, cleaned cache, system, dalvik cache and even the internal storage and tried all other combinations. BUT THE SAME BOOT LOOP PROBLEM REMAINED.

As a last resort I had to flash the original 4.3 JellyBean firmware hoping that performing a clean install from that would help. But even after that the boot loop remains. Someone please help me flash a Lollipop based rom. This thing is driving me crazy now.

OEM_NV_Backup BT_MAC_MISSING notification after every reboot

We been having this issue with our Malaysian OPT with OOS 2.1.0 and later OOS 2.1.1.
Every time it reboots, the error message OEM_NV_Backup BT_MAC_MISSING will pops up. It can be swipe off. No other error on the phone, everything else works fine. Not a big issue but just annoying.

This happens on both stock recovery, stock kernel, locked bootloader and unlock bootloader with AK Kernel, TWRP recovery.

Btw, the Bluetooth works in case you're wondering if BT_MAC_MISSING notification screws up the BT. And we have try factory resets and clean install.

Anyone has any ideas on this. Thanks.

[Q] [REQ] After Factory Reset How To Reset Gear Manager App Store

Okay so I too have been plagued with the flickering homescreen after the gear manager update, I don't mind factory odin installing a whole new rom over again, my only problem I see is IDK how to reset gear manager so I can install app's that were once previously installed prior to odin flashing the watch.

Is there a way to fix this or would I lose connection with the watch and factory reset it completely and have to resync it again through gear manager.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
