How to disable the capacitive keys and their keylight and install soft keys.

STEP 1
ROOT REQUIRED AND BUSYBOX MUST BE INSTALLED FROM PLAYSTORE) First you need to install the SOFT BUTTONS APP from the playstore. Its free of cost.
STEP 2
In the Soft buttons app go in menu and select capacitive key menu and then disabe option. Also then select the soft key menu and select enable softkey option.
STEP 3
REBOOT (restart your phone). You will see that soft keys are enabled and capacitive keys will no longer function.
STEP 5
Now for the capacitive key light some phones have option to disable them in settings. Others can download the capacitive buttons pro app on aptiode as it is paid on play store. From there you can disable the keylight.

Cannot install any custom ROM

Hi,
I've got a SM-T531 tablet and I hate the official ROMs. They're bloated and ugly. I searched around and found 2 custom ROMs which I would love to try out. I have flashed ROMs on my previous devices but never had any issues. Here's what I have done:

First I have flashed CF-Autoroot using Odin and it was successful. I could install apps with root permission, it was all good.
Then I wanted to install a custom ROM. I followed the instructions in this link:

I downloaded the latest TWRP:

GApps (I downloaded the SOKP-Mini-Gapps.L5.1.1-R-1.0-20150801.zip file):

Then used ODIN to flash the TWRP file, it was successful. Next I used the "Home+Volume Up+Power" to go to the recovery mode. After that I cleaned (Factory Reset) and used the "Install ZIP" to flash the ROM and then GApps. All finished without any issues.

But when I reboot I get the following error (same colors):

It stops there and never goes to any boot screen. Just freezes.

Note: When I flashed the stock firmware, the tablet boots perfectly fine. But when I try to install custom ROMs I get this.
I have never seen this error before. What am I doing wrong?

Root & install cloudyg3 on LG g3 d855 variant runs on lollipop

Im using LG G3 D855 international variant and decided to root it. With the help of a thread in xda i was able to do it. (When i use stump, it didn't work. Threw an error saying device is patched)

Then i had to set a recovery method, so downloaded the exact matching image file and tried using flashify. It was success but when it rebooted it was just blackscreen with red and blue led light. Then i removed the battery and made it to download mode then again inserted the battery and restarted it worked.

Question :
* I want to know whether my recovery process was success.
* I want to install custom rom - cloudyg3 in my device

Please help me to do above two tasks.

Software Update: Small security patch from carrier - install it or not?

On my Mega 6.3 I527M, I just received a notification for a security patch (screenshot attached). The notification is annoying as it's a consistent one, it's always there. I was wondering if it's safe to let it be installed?! I'm asking this because, I don't want to lose my root. For my phone, I gained root with my much difficulty and anticipation! It's still Knox 0x0 which is important to me and rooted. It's all good. So, if letting this patch be installed won't affect my rooted phone, please let me know I'll do it. If not, is there any way to get rid of this notification? It says patch downloaded... where Android stores these downloads so I can take a look?
I'm willing to install this patch 'manually' too, if it's possible?

I cant install zip on CWM recovery based v6.0.5.1

Hello guys i need some help from other developers in here. I have a problem on my samsung galaxy duos s7582. My problem is, i'm about to install a zip file on cwm recovery, first i go to install zip, then choose from sdcard1, but when i'm on the zip file that i want to install, it will only go back to back the cwm based recovery wherein you choose to install zip, reboot system, wipe data/factory etc. I did it again and again but it will just go back. What am i going to do ? Please help. (I'm installing a custom rom)

Boot Loop Problem persists after installing Lollipop ROM & clean install

I was using the Blekota Note 4(based on Kitkat) on my i9300 when it one day suddenly it restarted on its own and went into a bootloop and heated up. So I took out the battery and tried starting it again by clearing cache and dalvik cache. But it was still stuck at bootloop. After about 3 hours, somehow it came back on its own, but all the data and settings were lost. The downloaded apps were present, but their settings were lost.

Since I would have to again set up all apps, I wanted to try a new rom, Lollipop based. I downloaded the latest RESURRECTION REMIX (5.5.7) apps and downloaded the OpenGapps micro package. But after trying a clean install, the boot loop problem was still there. I tried with a different Gapp package, from OmniRom thread (all were for Android 5.1) but still no help. Even flashing the ROM alone would be of no help. I remembered I had a similar problem after flashing Boeffla kernel and the solution in that case was flashing a new version of the kernal. I tried that also. But no help.

I changed my recovery from CWM to TWRP as someone in some thread mentioned that it could help. But still No avail. In doing a clean rom, I tried almost 3 roms, cleaned cache, system, dalvik cache and even the internal storage and tried all other combinations. BUT THE SAME BOOT LOOP PROBLEM REMAINED.

As a last resort I had to flash the original 4.3 JellyBean firmware hoping that performing a clean install from that would help. But even after that the boot loop remains. Someone please help me flash a Lollipop based rom. This thing is driving me crazy now.

Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910G 5.0.1- Can I Install INU Firmware In INS Device?

Im currently using samsung galaxy note 4 SM-N910G running lollipop 5.0.1 version.
But i didnt like lollipop much.so i decided to downgrade from lollipop 5.0.1 to kitkat 4.4.4.so i searched for the firmware in sammobile.there i found two firmware variations for indian model as SM-N910G (INU) and SM-N910G (INS).my device is INS model.but for INS ,only lollipop firmwares are available but for INU devices kitkat and lollipop are present.SO my doubt is .....both the firmwares are for SM-N910G Indian mobiles.so can i flash kitkat 4.4.4 INU firmware in my INS device?.will there be any problem?.kindly help me....thanks in advance

[Help need] edited build.prop, device weird clean install of another ROM doesn't help

I build a ROM for months, and I try to implemented some lines to my system.prop on the tree or in the device build.prop, and I "screwed" the device.

After i add some lines the device is acting weird , and even after i did a clean install of a clean ROM (a ROM that doesn't have those lines on the prop ), the weird things do not go way, I wipe it all, Dalvik cache, cache, system, internal memory and data, all the partition available on wipe of TWRP... I have install the stock ROM via Fastboot, erase all the device information, on the stock the bug doesn't exist, but if i flash the custom it is back on.


The weird things are.
The device get lock in a middle CPU frequency (the top is 2,7ghz it stays at 2ghz), and only after i plug the charger and reboot it go to the top frequency.

Always after a clean install, developer option is enable by default (I have installed this version before it doesn't have that enable by default), if i try to enable adb and after disable adb the device reboot, if i disable developer then I enable by clicking over build number to enable it, then the ADB bug disappears i can enable and disable it no reboot.

But I wanna the device clean of this bugs that doesn't exist before

I think the lines that cause trouble was a bad line that I used by mistake (bad part in red)...

As I said, I'm doing clean install and using a old version of my ROM but it doesn't seems to work.

Can some one please help, can i change bad lines over adb? or erase a file on the device?

Installed CMW on the wrong firmware, now I can't downgrade and install it properly.

I blindly tried to install CWM on my second rooted firetv running 51.1.1.0_user_511070220. I am trying to downgrade to 51.1.0.2_user_510058520 so I can properly install CMW but it doesn't seem to take, when i reboot recover it just stays on the amazon logo and halts. I followed all the tutorials perfectly and had no problem installing CMW on my other fire tv that came stock with 51.1.0.2_user_510058520.

Im curious if CMW is installed yet not compatible thus blocking any downgrading attempts, if so what would be the process of removing cmw?
