Need help with Layers Manager Update........ please

If anyone out there can help me, I'd really appreciate it.

I have a Nexus 6, Verizon, running Pure Nexus 5.1.1 (screenshot below)

I've been getting this irritating message for weeks now, stating the "Layers Manager" can't update via the Google Play Store. I don't know how to fix this and it's become quite annoying every night when I update my apps before bed.

I'm by no means an expert at ROM management, but I went from rooted stock to this ROM because I got tired of the google security update not working, due to my being rooted. I really like this ROM and this is the only problem I've had with it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Need help with my Notebook Webcam (weird problem)

I was skyping yesterday and my skype friend had to disconnect for a few minutes. My webcam worked perfectly fine.
After we started a new call my webcam was all dark. I or my skype friend could see nothing. I can only see something when I hold my cam towards bright light. Well, I can see the light and a tiny bit of what is around it. I tried to set the cam preferences to default but it didn't help me at all. I tried to reinstall the driver for my webcam but I couldn't find any (HP 250 G3), so I reset WIndows 8.1 completely (via 'shutdown /r /o'). That wasn't the solution also. I then tried to wipe my HDD and install Windows 8. The problem still remains.
I thought that a cable might have loosened, so I opened my Notebook to check the cables. Everything was fine. The problem still remains.

Does anybody have an idea what it possibly could be?

GSM/UMTS in 306sh (cdma)? (in need of 305sh BUILD.PROP)

After rooting my 306sh with @tewilove method described in this forum (thanks once more), I need to get my CDMA phone to understand GSM/UMTS providers.

I know the hardware is in it, but the software is not...

Maybe there are lots of clues in "build.prop" from 305sh (japanese one).

Can anyone post japanese BUILD.PROP here to help?

Need help ugrading from Rooted NI2-- it's been awhile

So it's been awhile since my last upgrade/root/flash. I've been out of the loop for quite some time. I stopped after upgrading to NI2 and rooting with towelroot + safestrap. I need some help upgrading to the latest lollipop version w/root until we get M. If anyone could help, it would be very much appreciated!

[NEED HELP] - Glowing black screen

Hello,

I hope someone can help me to troubleshoot my phone (Moto 2G XT1068).
When power on, moto logos go off and then just black glowing screen appears.

Tried:
Reset
Rooting - does not load dead red android, just restarts phone and goes back to black glowing screen.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi, i have a big probleme with my phone Xperia z c6603 lollipop 5.0.2 :i had installed the program * xzrecovery* for lunching the xposed frimware then the *xzrecovery* reboot my phone...it keeps restarting in sony logo........i try to hold the Volume Up +Volume Down buttons+ power bouttons but no result .....i can't connect my phone with Pc via USB cable because i have hardware problem....
...... after an hour of restarts, my battery is completely drained....when i connect with a wall charger automatically turn on and keeps restarting in sony logo the problem is turn on automatically and don"t be charged ?????????????
whene i press and hold power & volume up for few seconds, the xperia vibrate for 3 times and turn off then keeps restarting

KNOX/Locked BL/Custom Recoverys/Imaged/TAR'd Rom's...HELP!! Need real solutions!!

:(:mad:.....Ok I tried for about a week with everything I know or read, and for the 1st time ever [long time modder] I am totally whipped on this nightmare!!
Running a Samsung Note 2 SCH-1605 model Verizon
Event log description: was on 4.1.2 stock/unrooted.....decided I wanted to upgrade all the way to Liquid smooth 5.1 or a ND7 4.2.2 ROM......Okay I root it with adams casual and install TWRP, loaded zipped file onto SD card with ROM 1605VRUF ND7 4.4.2 official debloated stock rooted and flashed, it wouldn't start!!.. stuck with bootloop!!..wouldnt go into recovery to wipe cache and dalvik....pulled battery /reinstalled battery and attempted to get into recovery, wouldn't go into recovery again = Horror!!... instead got the solid yellow triangle with red exclamation point!!!.... so I set it into download mode and use odin to flash the MJ9 bootloader... it took it!!... and it came to life as a working 4.4.2 ROM= Yeaaaa!!....However it wasn't rooted like it should've been!!..= FK,d*%*#~
Ok at this point, I either should've resigned to it being unrooted/stock and left it be!!.....But I needed and wanted it rooted to further set it up the way I wanted it!!....Thats when everything took a huge Dump backwards:eek:....I used adams outlers casual to root it, and didn't realize I should've either used toolbox 1.4.1 or Ghetto root....for some reason adams outlers casual program hung up mid way thru, and froze it, I reset the phone by the only means I had by pulling the battery....after I started it, I get the the Verizon message that I needed to go see them because of unauthorized SW on phone, again wouldn't boot into recovery or start/bootup....So at that point I decide its time to take it back down to stock 4.1.2 and start all over AGAIN!!...because Nothing except download mode was working and that almost didn't happen, it took several trys!!....Ok I odin it to 4.1.2 and found to my horror, that wouldn't boot/work and still no recovery usable either!!!....So I odin it with stock 4.1.3 and needed to reflash the bootloader with MJ9 and wholla, It came back to life!!....So I rooted that install,... using Ghetto root successfully!!...Now this is where Im totally stuck at now!!...I tried everything I can think of to install any custom recovery so I can not only upgrade but also be able to have better than the 3E stock recovery, Ive got safestrap installed but it wont boot into its recovery, I tried using odin to flash 3 different tar file recoverys, but it always ends as a fail!!!= Unsuccessfull load/flash Grrrrrrrr:mad:!!!.....tried CWM app, but the app fails again to load any custom recovery, and have busybox installed too!! I triggered the KNOX watchdog, cause I see a 1 when its in download mode now!!!...read that Im possibly now in a stuck/locked bootload mode forever because of KNOX!!!.....Which Im assuming is why I it will not allow a custom recovery installation, but only allow stock 3E = POOHYAA!!.......I installed and tried the disable Knox Disabler app= disables the notification, but does NOT!! actually disable KNOX itself= failure!!...WTF can I do to get past this custom recovery install problem so as to try to get back to upgrading my ROM??..... Is there a way to eradicate KNOX and free up my locked BootLoader which would solve all problems I believe!!!....Note!!...With toolbox 1.4.1 it has an option to create TAR files from Imaged files, where i might be able to use odin to flash those advanced ROM's, but I cant find any ROM's past 4.1.3 that are imaged or totally TAR,d already to use with odin!!!..... just Zipped files is all I ever see...when I look at the zipped files of potential ROM's, the core of the ROM file is imaged but the rest of the needed files for a successful install arent!!.... and thus prohibits that angle of conversion!!....I either need a way to get past my locked bootloader/KNOX to be able install a custom recovery and flash zipped ROM's normally or I need totally imaged ROM packages past 4.1.3 to convert to TAR files, or links to where these advanced ROM's are already converted to Imaged or TAR'd instead of just ZIPPED!!!.....I never had to ask for help, But I'm admitting defeat at this point and need credible solutions that'll work!!....This has always been a great community of givers and problem solvers, and I need ya'lls help badly....I'm hoping Ive described enough above so as the obvious suggestions dont come back that Ive already tried, and am hoping for fresh new ideas and solutions to getting past this...FKN Samsung/Verizon Hamstringing BS they shouldn't have imposed on this phone, I'm really pissed at them, along with about a million other furious:mad: customers who bought their phones with this BS on it!!

Small history..... I have rooted and Rommed phones before, but not for almost 2 years. I had my Note 3 rooted, had BajaROM on it, and had Safestrap on it as well. I decided to try a new ROM (jasmine) today. I screwed up one step (flashing the zip file), and then after wiping it, I messed up and rebooted. All I get now is the "Samsung GALAXY Note 3" screen. It doesn't go past that. Can someone please tell me what I can do to get something to work? If you can help me get up and running, I can make a small donation ( I am not a rich man). This is my only form of communication with my wife, and we have a small daughter. If I can't get this phone up and running, I am screwed! PLEASE HELP ME!

Do I need to replace proximity sensor?

I have a nexus 5 ( marshmallow). I have (stupidly) dropped it twice and the screen is quite damaged. When I receive or make a call the screen goes black. I can't access the touchpad, speaker etc. Very annoying. I am replacing the screen now but the question I have is whether I also need to replace the proximity sensor.
Is it related to my issue? Or will replacing the screen fix everything? The person that is replacing the screen is charging an extra £10 for the sensor if he can do both together. He says if it turns out I need the sensor afterwards it will cost £40 so I would rather do it in one go if I need to.

I have installed the Proximity Screen Off app but it makes no difference.

Need help to fix bugs on my ROM (ambient display)

I don't know if there is a better section to post this question. If there is one, just tell me ;)

I have successfully built my first ROM from sources : Resurrection Remix v5.5.7 for Moto G LTE 2nd Gen.
I published it and a user found a bug :
Ambient display isn't working. And I don't know what to do to fix it.
I don't even know where to start : there is no guide for that ;)
I tried to take a logcat from my phone but I didn't have any result. I will try on my computer.

Can anyone help me please ?

Brand new VZW S4 w/ NC5, Need Advice and Help

Firs off I'm new here so a lot of this stuff is still foreign to me. I was able to get a brand new Verizon S4 with NC5. I have not even opened the box yet.

I want to upgrade to the best OTA which also has a stable, reliable, debloated custom ROM available similar to say CleanRom. Which OTA should I upgrade to? If it's not the newest VZW has put out, will I get notifications every day asking me to upgrade?

Which custom ROMs are similar to CleanRom? I was stability, reliability, speed and tethering.

need .pit file to return to stock

well i was dooped on another thread saying with root u could sim unlock your phone on your own. it required root according to the thread. so i rooted then found i still had to pay for a unlock code. :(

so now i want to return my sm-g920p to stock and i can't get it to flash with odin because it hangs on get pit for mapping step. seems my .pit file on my phone is missing or corrupt. is there anyone who has a link to the .pit file for a 128 gig sprint galaxy s6? i have found what seems to be a pretty easy way to pull off the pit file from your phone but mine doesn't seem to be there.

i did find a pit magic app that says u can create a pit file from scratch but i can't seem to find any tutorials on how to actually use it

hey guys.....am about to root my samsung galaxy fame lite and am on a 80-20 dilemma which the big percentage holds my mind to root it and the small percentage means that my mind feels that i dont yet have enough info. As much as i am digging in,the much i find out more and more terms that's becoming a mix up....:silly::confused:....words like CYANOGENMOD, and where to use CLOCKWORDMOD RECOVERY
i have already ecided to use kingo tool to root,i have researched on the whole process and how to reverse it...but i still want to get knowledge on backing up the android system on my sd card and how to unroot without a pc just in case i mess up my device and am not close to my pc...

3066 stick device with different hardware need help

Hello friends, i have got this Android stick by the Brand Name ilife,its been bricked by someone, and stuck on LOGO SCREEN.However its still been detected in RK Batchtool,The company has dumped this product and had never released any firmware,Despite of sending numerous mails in the past 1 year the response from the company is negative, Does any one has any idea which firmware should i upgrade it with?
the specs are:-
Android 4.1
Rockchip RK3066 Cortex A9 Dual Core
1GB RAM
8GB Built In Memory
WiFi-Realtek RTL-8188EUS

According to the specs the three models which are closer to my Brand are below:-

But the Hardware is different from all three models

need to unlock bootloader lenovo vibe shot z90a40

hi,

my devices is lenovo vibe shot z90a40 with lollipop 5.1; i am unable to run fastboot oem unlock command as it gives unknown remote command error.

anyone have the solution or tried to unlock this model successfully let me know.
