Rooted OnePlus two, installed Sandy kernel, now how to tweek it?

Hi,
I bought Oneplue Two, was running on the stock kernel for some time, then the battery life was way too bad. Then read a few posts, and suggestions to use the AK kernel. I flashed it, installed amplify,greenify to increase the batttery life but again, it reduced my battery life from bad to worse, now i am using Sandy Kernel, i need to know how do i tweak it, how to use synapse, how to use kernel auditor and what should i do to get good battery back up with out compromising the performance. And yeah would it reduce the heat on my device

Verizon Galaxy S3 4.4.2 Rooted Custom Recovery Question

Looked through google, looked through threads, can find nothing whatsoever to help.

Have Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III Unlocked running Straight Talk VIA sim card. Everything works.. as a regular old phone with root. (rooted with Kingoroot - basically I googled "root galaxy s3" and followed those steps.. that much works fine, though it is not to be confused with the chinese king root. I tried the trick of swapping out king root for SU and, well.. yeah didnt work.)
Problem is I'm running 4.4.2 (the dreaded locked bootloader) and everything I try when it comes to installing custom recovery either doesn't work, bootloops the phone, or hard bricks it. v_v
so as someone who backs up their backups, (thank you OCD fairy), running around with a phone I can't backup puts me on edge, to say the least.
tried safestrap (says not secured. still says not secured after install. does nothing.)
tried various CWM and TWRP via apk installs (whatever that app is you install then tell it to install cwm) ..wouldn't install
Odin, depending on which version I install, either gives me errors or hardbricks my device.
SO.. I'm looking for someone who has a Verizon Galaxy S III and who has a custom recovery on it to tell me how the devil they managed that one.

Need help ugrading from Rooted NI2-- it's been awhile

So it's been awhile since my last upgrade/root/flash. I've been out of the loop for quite some time. I stopped after upgrading to NI2 and rooting with towelroot + safestrap. I need some help upgrading to the latest lollipop version w/root until we get M. If anyone could help, it would be very much appreciated!

I want to return to stock, receive 11z update from 11x and then root again. I’ve read the forums over and over but I’m just not 100% sure I have the process right. I backed up my original 11x .img but cannot seem to find it. My phone is running fine, just want the additional security patches of 11z.

Return to 11x Stock:
Backup with Titanium to extSD
Run the easy restore tool using the provided sys.img file
(regardless of my current config being rooted, changed thermal engine, xposed, removed Carrier IQ)

I'm rooted and would like to enable tethering. I know about enabling Hotspot if you have your MSL. Are there any other ways as I don't have my MSL?

Now that I'm rooted are there any apps that can give me MSL number? The app I've used only seems to work for HTC devices.

I have a Galaxy s4 Mini gt 19195 and some time ago i flashed an CM12 ROM (lollipop) in there cuz it felt awesome .
But when i started using the phone the apps that needed rooting didn't work , superuser is there but its says the binary code is not installed or whatever
i tried to fix root from my CWM but nothing , reflashed the ROM and nothing , also retried the s4 mini Rootkit v2 but nothing

Rooted Nexus 6 and updating to android 6.0

Hello all,

i rooted my nexus 6 and now that android 6.0 has been release i can't install the upgrade. My phone shows there is a system upgrade available. I have clicked to download the upgrade. Now its showing that a system upgrade has been downloaded and verified. Once i click on install update, it reboots to the teamwin. And to be honest, i don't really know if its taking the updated or how i can upgrade if possible.

Rooted OC3 update to OG9 & Samsung Pay

I am rooted on OC3 with KNOX intact. Is there currently a way to upgrade to OG9 while keeping root and not tripping KNOX?

My main motivation is in using Samsung Pay.

With Android pay, I can uninstall superuser (unroot) and Android pay works. then if i need to do something that requires root access, i can re-install SU and do what i need. will something similar work with Samsung Pay?

will i simply be able to sideload the Samsung pay APK and Framework APK? or will i have to upgrade to OG9? is there a way to upgrade to OG9 and keep root & KNOX?

what are those of you in my same situation planning on doing?

Overclock stock (Rooted) 851 (Can't find kernel)

Hey I feel like a noob for asking but after genuinely searching the site for a few hours I have been unable to find any kernel compatible with my stock rom version 5.0.1 and phone t-mobile us 851. Is there one available and if not is there any way I can overclock my phone without installing a custom rom and a kernel over it. I really appreciate any answers. Thank you. Also just wanted to mention that before asking I actually tried installing incompatible kernels pretty much knowing that they wouldn't work (thank goodness I backed up lol).

Rooted Kindle Fire Gen 2

So I'm running a kindle fire gen 2 that's rooted and i went to flash TWRP which happened "successfully" according to flashify but i went to reboot my kindle and it boots normally for about half a second then sits at a red screen that i cant do anything with. would really appreciate feedback ASAP. I was aware of the dangers of flashing but it still boots so i believe there might still be a hope. (Wont register on my PC when plugged in either)

I have a RootChecker app that certified that before I installed the RootKit2 package listed on XDA, the phone was not rooted. It indicates it's rooted now.

That last one (deodexing) is where the problem arises. Setting my Windows Path: ;C:\android.sdk\platform-tools, I get the following output in the cmd when I try to initiate the adb functions:

From what I have been told, if the phone was really rooted it would list "#" instead of "$", which it doesn't. So I don't understand what the problem is.

How to update rooted Note 4?

Hi guys, hopefully I'm not the only one with this problem. Is there anyway to update my Note 4 to 5.1.1? OTA doesn't work.

[I9195I] Need help from a rooted S4 Mini Value Edition/Plus user to recover my phone

So I have been recently playing around with my S4 Mini Value Edition/Plus (I9195I) trying to port CyanogenMod to it. Then when it was really late I read about the `adb reboot nvbackup` (DO NOT EVER RUN THIS COMMAND ON THE S4 MINI VE), and now the phone is basically stuck in a bootloop. I think the problem is identical with http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2657519 which points out that Samsung has simply messed up something there and now the FSG and BACKUP partitions are corrupt. According to the thread it is possible to recover if you get clean versions of the FSG and BACKUP partitions so I'm hoping someone with the S4 Mini Value Edition (i9195i) can help me by getting the clean versions from his device. It's not much to do and won't do anything to your device but will help me to continue (and actually have a working device again).

Can someone run these commands (either in a rooted shell (e.g. adb shell -> su -> change in the directory of your internal/external sdcard (not sure about the path), use TWRP way if in doubt), or from TWRP directly (Advanced -> Terminal Command -> then select e.g. your /external_sd or normal /sdcard) -> Select (bottom of the screen)), type the following 2 commands and send me the resulting files (e.g. by attaching it here to a post, or uploading it on AndroidFileHost or Dropbox, ... whatever):

This will place the partition contents of FSG and BACKUP in the current dir (file names fsg.img and backup.img) and you can upload them from your PC e.g. by inserting your external SD card in your PC or simply booting into Android and connecting your phone to the PC. Unlike the names suggest they don't seem to contain a backup but actually files that are necessary for booting which is now corrupted after I run this stupid command... Thanks in advance, I hope someone can help me with getting my phone back working. :)

within foldermount, i can put in the name, but i can't scroll down...to put in the source and location
