From HTC One (M7) to Nexus 6P

Hi there!

I'm going from a rooted HTC One (M7) to the Nexus 6P very soon, and I have absolutely loved my One's silver/aluminum build and would like to get the 6P with the closest color to it.

Would that be the lighter aluminum color, or the darker one? (Obviously, it's not the darkest of the three...)

Nexus 5x and T-Mobile's LTE Band 12

For those who have their new Nexus 5x, can anyone confirm (or refute) that the Nexus 5x operates on Band 12?

I recall Google saying they had hoped it would be ready for when the Nexus 5x was released.

Hi, Nexus 5x is really good device but there is gonna be RAM problem in the future....

I got the mobile few days and ilready got 1,5 GB RAM in use...

I have instaled just few essentials app and memmory is already full. If android wil develop and use even more RAM its gonna be problem in the future.....

Another thing is decryption. of the phone and no option how to disable it.....Instalation of app takes forever....

Nexus 5 - how to take the best performance?!

Hello everyone.

I hope there aren't a similar post here.
I wood like to make a "monster" Nexus 5, concerning performance.
So, can somebody tell me about the fastest ROM, the best version of the rom, the best compatible kernel, etc.
I want to see the highest benchmark, and of course the best performance.
I don't care about the version of the ROM (KitKat, Lollipop, etc)

Nexus 6 broken root

Trying to root my Nexus 6 with Marshmallow

I installed the modified boot from Chainfire using fastboot, it succeeded, then restarted bootloader, then installed TWRP 2.8.7.1, it succeeded, then booted to TWRP and installed the 2.52 beta of SuperSU and restarted and the phone is saying the 'device is corrupted', gives me some crap URL (g.co/ABH) and doesn't start, is there any way to fix this?

I've had the 5x since Friday as a review unit from Google. Anyone have any questions. I have the 32gb model, and I've been using the Project Fi network as a complimentary trial. I've been on the 6p forum answering already. It's time for some 5x questions.

Nexus 6 unable to mount e drive - marshmallow

Hi all,

I updated my N6 to Marshmallow last week and rooted using the NRT and when I try to change the kernel it gives me the following error in recovery:

I am unable to mount sd card from recovery, can anyone help resolve this issue/point me in the right direction?

Nexus Player - Sling App opening itself

Has anyone experienced the following behavior:

On a couple of occasions with Netflix playing a show it will kick itself out and Sling will start to load. I don't use Sling, but I have previously opened the app to check it out. I have force closed the Sling app and it seems to have stopped this behavior, but I did find a recent reddit thread that described a similar issue and was wondering if anyone here has experienced it. Don't know if it is a hardware or software issue since I got the nexus player only a couple of weeks ago and just received the update to 6.0.

problem with rooting my nexus initially locked and unrooted nexus 5 with wugfresh nrt

hi .i had a non rooted locked nexus 5 with marshmellow on it.i tried to apply wugfresh2.0.5 root .the drivers test was succesful.then i unlocked and then engaged to rooting.but during the procedure at the end after flashing the busybox and 2 other files my phone is stuck in the 4 moving shapes screen without being able to reboon and start...help!

USB tether with Nexus 7 tablet?

I have a nexus 7 installed in my dash and am currently using a 5s to wifi tether. I am looking at picking up a used one m8 tonight and I'm hoping I can USB tether to my tablet? The tablet is setup with an OTG cable in host mode, rooted and running Timur's rom. Is this possible or can you only tether via usb with a PC?

Rooted Nexus 6 and updating to android 6.0

Hello all,

i rooted my nexus 6 and now that android 6.0 has been release i can't install the upgrade. My phone shows there is a system upgrade available. I have clicked to download the upgrade. Now its showing that a system upgrade has been downloaded and verified. Once i click on install update, it reboots to the teamwin. And to be honest, i don't really know if its taking the updated or how i can upgrade if possible.

can someone help me please?!!!!

[Q] Insecure kernel for Nexus 6 marshmallow release

Hi all,

I am trying to get an insecure kernel for Nexus 6, marshmallow 6.0, and I stuck at a bootloop.
The AOSP tag android-6.0.0_r1 builds without any errors. Then I flash the produced insecure boot image on a nexus 6, which had the latest 6.0 factory images.

Has anyone managed to do this procedure?

Btw, I am compiling the AOSP sources, and not the kernel sources.
In AOSP, I think, the kernel/zImage is precompiled, and the aosp build system bundles it into a boot image.
So, if someone has managed to build a working insecure boot.img from any marshmallow branch please let me know.
Or has done the same thing from kernels sources, also let me know.

Convince me to stop my Nexus 6p preorder for a V10.

OK, I'm on a Nexus 6, running Chroma ROM, loving the rooted Marshmallow life on Project Fi. I was looking forward to more of the same with the 128GB 6P. Then I started checking into the V10.

Here is what is *almost* making me hit the cancel button on my N6P order: 2nd screen, ESS Sabre DAC/AMP (the main reason is this actually), and I personally prefer the LG displays vs Amoled. (Color and white accuracy > saturated pop.) The V10 looks a bit better IMO too, but looks are pretty far down my list of considerations. Until proven otherwise, I'll consider cameras on the 6p vs v10 to be a wash. I also don't think the 808 vs 810 thing will be a huge deal for me either.

I've owned the G2 and G3 and liked it, but don't at all care for LG's UI customizations vs stock android. It's worse than touch wiz in some ways. Not as bad in others.

I'm an audiophile and I'd love to ditch my external headphone DAC/AMP. I'd really like to enjoy the V10, but not sure I can give up the freedom of a Nexus. So... Convince me!

Pure Nexus 6.0 R1- Signal Works But No Data

I flashed the pure nexus ROM 6.0 release coming from benzorom some nightl y build not positive which. I flash the 6.0 bootloader and radio from recovery and then flashed the ROM and gapps. Can't get any data for some reason. Can someone help?
