Just grabbed an lg g3 and plan to sell my s4

I rooted via towelroot, installed safestrap, and flashed the hyperdrive rom

How would I go back to stock? i'm on NC5, btw.

I seen a thread for a 5.0.1 full wipe, but i'm not too sure if that would work for me?

Samsung Clear Back Cover

After the shocking scratch gate of the clear view cover I went commando but find the handset so damn slippery and hard to grip without touching the edge of the screen.

Tried the Spigen hybrid case, nice but bulky.

Then tried the Samsung back cover, love it, makes the gold handset actually look gold and easy to hold with a nice tactile feel.

Having trouble going back to stock.

Hi all,

I rooted my M8 recently with the Windroid toolkit. Everything worked great, and I flashed the digitalhigh GPE rom and love it. I need to go back to stock sense to do some things, but plan on going right back to GPe (If possible, I would like to stay rooted when I go back to stock, if not I can root again myself). While searching for a way to do this, I came across Hasoon2000's toolkit and saw that it would be able to flash an RUU.

So, I downloaded it and here's where the issues start. I attempted to use the toolkit from my Windows 8.1 VM and it will recognize my phone in MTP mode but when I try and get my CID to find my correct RUU, it starts running but then states the device is offline and never boots into the bootloader. I then attempted to do this on a Windows 7 laptop; with digitalhigh's GPe and the phone in MTP mode Windows will not show the phone in Windows explorer nor does it seem like the toolkit can communication with the phone as the cmd prompt states a device is not found.

I do have USB debugging enabled. This is a Sprint device. What do I need to do to get the CID and be able to find the RUU for my phone so that I can flash it?

Back to Stock! software Installation failed!

hi all!!!

im not good!! because i wanna change my Honor 6 h60-02 rom to stock and Emui 3.1 aNdroid 5.1 B532! even i tried emui 3 B316

but I CANT!!! i tried every single ways to install the stock rom but at time it said software Installation failed!!

i dont know what should i do!
i install the system.img and Cust.img and recovery.img and boot.img with adb and fastboot! but it stop at Honor logo and doesnt turn on!
and when i press 3 Buttons to flash it says software Installation failed!!

please help... i cant do anything... my phone....

Just want to give my experience rooting 5.1
my firmware N910FXXU1COI3

1 - I wanted to get root to remove all bloatware
2 - after all bloatware removed unroot and use original kernel and recovery

So what I have done:
1 - flashed this kernel: N910F-Stock_Kernel_XXU1COI3_Root_Enforced-PhilZ.tar via odin http://forum.xda-developers.com/note...-root-t3208778
2 - flashed twrp-2.8.7.0-trltetmo.img.tar via odin https://dl.twrp.me/trltetmo/
3 - downloaded chainfire BETA-SuperSU-v2.52.zip and saved to external SD card
4 - used twrp recovery and installed BETA-SuperSU-v2.52.zip http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps...v2-05-t2868133
5 - from play download titanium backup + root and removed all bloatware and other Samsung apk
6 - Open superuser and find full unroot then restart phone
7 - than restart again into twrp recovery and wipe cache partition + dalvik cache
8 - Than from original firmware my was 910FXXU1COI3 change end to zip and extracted recovery.img and boot.img
9 - Than the was problem as I cannt use them in odin I need to sign to md5 so - google search and I have found
MD5 Script in the xda forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2446269
10 - coped these 2 img to the same directory as MD5 Script and run ImgToTar.MD5.bat and I have 2 MD5 files boot.tar.md5 recovery.tar.md5
11 - then used odin I flashed firstrecovery.tar.md5 and later boot.tar.md5

Now phone runs original recovery and original kernel

why I unroot - maybe for security reason , I do think having root access and loading websites where tons of malware or opening files form somewhere is not really safe as superuser have root some clever master can go around this and can have root as well : ) But when on the phone none root who do get root ? phone itself will flash custom kernel maybe ? how this impossible I do not know

Whats the goal of removing/uninstalling bloatware if it can be disabled - yes 60 % samsung bloatware can be disabled but not all like samsung sync samsung tracking , like knox , and etc ,
I do not need to have on my phone any google remote , do not want to have any drop box sync or samsung sync etc ...
I m not using samsung email apk but it is running in background , Flipboard why the heck this is default ????? and getting notifications about news and can not disable This is why we need root

after all this work - does the phone works better ?
Yes feels more smooth as not run other apk in the background + it is programs what I need not what samsung or google want me to have for they money advertising or service

Moto X(2013) back light problem- Failed to open back light: no such file or directory

So my Moto X (2013) got switched off at 1% battery. I charged it and turned it on again. Now I can't unlock it from the active display lock screen. Whenever I try to unlock it nothing happens except for a black blank screen. The phone took a while to start and it said "Android is upgrading..." and went through optimizing of apps. Finally I get to the lock screen, I can see the messages, missed calls from the lock screen, but I can't unlock my phone and go to the actual messages or call list. After repeated attempts I went to the recovery and wiped cache partition. Still no luck. Then I go to see the recovery logs and I see this..

"Failed to open back light: no such file or directory"

Is there any way I can correct this except by factory resetting? I have lots of data stored on my phone and I really need them. I don't want to factory reset it. Or is there any way I can take backup of everything and then go about resetting it? Or can I apply an update so my phone won't lose data?

My phone runs Lolipop 5.0 and I also have the 5.1 update zip file with me. Phone is not rooted or unlocked. Please help me fix this

Why each switch from Chrome and Open Others and back to Chrome Reload the Web again?

Does this Chrome issues or Moto G 2015 issues? We have Moto G 2015 1GB RAM 8GB ROM, each time browse using Chrome and open one or two pages... then switch to others app example Twitter or Facebook.. then back to Chrome Tabs this Page Reload again... what happen? does this Chrome issues or Moto G 2015 issues?

Another issues is, if we open new tab in Chrome the page not open in the background.. the website/page will be load when we switch to this Tab... does any clue about it?

How to add back a certain language from Claro H950PR 5.1.1 after deleting CLR_PR?

Hi All,
Was wondering if anyone can show me how to do this.

1) Flashed to Claro PR 5.1.1
2) Rooted with EasyRoot and rootedsystem.img
3) Used Root explorer and moved CLR_PR to my PC and deleted the folder on the phone. (I did this in order to make 4G/LTE stay after reboot or factory reset).

I see after deleting the folder and doing a factory reset, the language options during initial setup is more universal now with other languages reading from the phone.

My question is (and i hope it is not a difficult one), can I somehow take the language that was available with the CLR_PR folder, and make it available with the current status of the phone now? For example, if I wanted to make Espanol , Colombia language available, how would I go about doing so?

Is it as simple as editing or adding a line on a file on the phone to match the file from the CLR_PR folder? Some steps or examples would be greatly appreciated! :D:D:D

Thank You for everyone's help. Also will disabling checking off to disable superuser access be enough to bring phone to a non root status as far as the applications are concerned?
