S III I9305 Works with Charged Battery, but Cannot be Charged...

Hi guys,

My S III seems to be working fine once the battery is charged. I have been using another S III to charge my battery (which is very annoying).

I thought it might be the USB port and am thinking of replacing it. However, there are also other symptoms which I have not been able to discover anywhere else on the internet yet.

First, when pressing the power button on the side, the phone does not boot like it used to, i need to hold the button for longer than usual and then the charging icon appears, before booting to the home screen.

Second, the battery icon in the top right corner always has an exclamation mark in it like it is critical, but the battery will last as normal.

So, all these three things are connected to the battery and charging, but how? Does anyone have any suggestions how to fix? Remember, I can not use the USB port so the phone does not connect to my PC. Thanks!

My Z5‘s battery only can charge from 0% to 97% use the UCH20 （5v 1.5A）

I try another 5V 2A charger, the result was same.
It can get 100% but after 97% it take too long time to get another 1%(after 20 minutes, it haven't get 98%).
In HongKong the Z5 doesn't have a qucik charger.

Battery life

Some of the reviews are calling the 5X battery life atrocious. No idea how this is possible without bloatware, newer hardware and a decent battery + marshmallow.... Even the 6P is getting bad reviews in this department. Can anyone comment here?

Cell Standby Battery Drain

Hello,
My phone is stuck at 12% charge while plugged into the USB charger. The needle doesn't move up. I have the latest android update 5.1.1 and Cyanogen 12.1-YOG4PAS1N0. What can I do?

Sudden Battery Drain From Voicemail & Android OS

I'm running a Note 4 rooted stock with Emotion Kernel and have been getting at least 12-15hrs battery time for as long as I can remember.

Suddenly my battery is draining crazy fast, a full charge doesn't even last 8hrs with very minimal use.

I checked in Settings>Battery and see that Voicemail and Android OS are consuming 4-5 times everything else...voicemail??? I barely get any voicemails ever!
Below is a screenshot...if anyone has a fix for this please let me know...thanks.

Android OS Battery Drain

Having bad battery drain on the Galaxy S6, always seems to do it when on 3G and when travelling. It seems fine on WiFi. Here are some screen shots, what is going on, could anyone advice please?

Battery Drain

Using my new Mi4c for a few days and I am getting terrible battery drain.

Android and Android System are accounting for 19% and 18% in my list as well as the Gallery app showing 10%.

With not much use my phone goes down from 100% to 53% in only 6 hours. And when I say not much use I mean sitting my work desk with the screen off from 9 to 2pm with my picking it up maybe three times for a few seconds each to send or read a text.

Just came from a Sony Z3 Compact which would still be in the 80% range with the same use.

Any ideas?

Sprint Voicemail App battery drain....

Has anyone here experienced this battery drain issue?

Recently, my battery has not been able to go into a deep sleep. Looking through Wakelock Detector and BetterBatteryStats, I find the following wakelock: CM HTTP Wakelock associated with the Sprint Voicemail app, core.coremobility.app.vnotes. This was preventing deep sleep from occurring.

I reverted and uninstalled all updates, and things seems to be ok for now (have only been monitoring for about 5 minutes though.

I know I should probably use Voice, but I like to keep my accounts compartmentalized for some OCD reason.

Yo fawkz! Gunna replace battery in my Pipo M6 Pro. Now, there are two types - 3.7v and 7.4v. Both are said to work with M6 Pro. What is the difference and which one should I get?

Adding Battery status to ambient display?

I have a Moto X 2014 Pure, which is unlocked, rooted, and running CM 12.1. I like being able to wave at the phone and see notifications, but one piece of info that would be nice to have is how much charge is left in the battery with just a wave. Right now, I have to wake the phone up to see how much battery is left. Is there any way to get this info on the ambient display as a notification, as in what the current battery percentage is?

Incorrect Battery Reporting | % Skipping | Dead @ 12%

Battery would fall 2% on the screen, it shows in battery reporting you can see the line drops steeply within 1 minute then stays stable (ignore the part where my device was asleep).

been very inaccurate with reporting % it randomly died at 12% (lowest its been since i got it 3 weeks ago) and when i power back on its at 2%. i charged back up to 40% and let it drop to 12% and the same happened.

i could live with the 3hr SOT if i got a good report of how much % was left so i can conserve usage if need be.

Running stock oxygen 2.1.1

then rooted and installed AK kernel (SOT is a little better) but still % dropping. i even super underclocked and saw the same effect


sent a ticket to OP - hoping its a defect and they can replace it

[Help] Unsusal battery drain (keep awake, cpu usage)

Hey, about 2 weeks ago I noticed weird behavior from my battery.
When phone is locked battery drain is too fast.
It seems that the "android system" keep the phone awake for long periods,
And that the "android os" keep using the cpu.
I've been trying many thing - wifi, location, sync etc but nothing helped.
Used system panel to monitor my battery life,
Here are the results from the last 8 hours (100% at morning till now)

In the first 3 system processes I see high cpu usage even when screen is off..

I know the overall battery using seems to be good,
But it's only because I've been using the phone the whole day.
The problem is when I'm not using it - it drain very fast with no reason.
I don't remember any change I've done (didn't update the software, maybe an app),
And before that the battery life was great (and so they are now if I'm using the phone continuously without "putting it in my pocket".)

How to diplay network traffic and battery mod ?

I see some ROM having network traffic display on the status bar in addition of custom battery icons.

Actually I use a ROM and I'm verry happy with it (fast and battery for 2 days). However, I'd like to add the traffic notification (separated up/down) and the battery custom...

How can I do that without flashing a new ROM please ?

lMO battery life doesn't seem good cause fast charge doesnt really fully charge phone

I went back to the slow charger for overnight charging and battery life has been pretty darn good. When I use the fast charger it says it gets to 100 quickly but I feel it drops down way faster. Anyone else feel this way?

Phone dies when it hits 5% battery

So, multiple times now my Note 5 has died within a minute or so of hitting 5% battery. The battery percentage will quickly plummet to 0 and shut down. However, when I plug it in and it shows the charging while the phone is off screen, it shows approx 5% battery. I assume this is a software bug and there isn't anything I can do about it until the next update. Either way, I wanted to see if anyone else is having this issue.

Seriuos Overheating and Battery Problem??

Hi everyone! My phone is 2 months old, 1 week ago, my phone start to heat so badly, in upper part is really really hot... As a matter of fact the battery is drained really fast, 3 hours in stand by... Before can get one day easily... Make a factory reset, doesn't work... The problem start a few days after I update de stage fright update, you think is the problem? Anyone else experience this? The phone is out of warranty in USA, cause is a UK version, xt1068....

Poor battery life due to constant notifications. Any fix?

Hello everyone, I recently picked up a fire phone. I am running the stock software but I used bootstrapper to downgrade back to 4.6.3 so I can install the play store and nova launcher. The battery life is atrocious and it seems to be stemming from the screen not staying off due to a constant stream of BS notifications that turn and keep the screen on. Some were from apps but most were from the system regarding wallpapers, lock-screens ect. I left the phone on the desk untouched and watched the battery drop 30% in a couple hours.

Has anyone else encountered this problem, and if so how did you resolve it? I could not find any setting that would allow me to stop notifications or stop them from turning the screen on. Thanks in advance.
