WHAT IS SUPERUSER MOD

It will disable the signature verification in our device. So we can install or flash other high end sony ported apps in our device. Such as ported Xperia Z5 apps need Superuser mod. So u can enjoy some custom themes and ported apps if u have Superuser mod installed..

Random reboots with custom ROMs

Hi All

I've been having such trouble flashing custom ROMs on my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 WiFi SM-T520. I was sucessfully able to flash TWRP 2.8.7 via odin on the device. However, I've tried several ROMs (CM11, 12, 12.1, Unofficial Liquidsmooth) each with their own issues but whichever is able to be flashed always ends up with random startup reboots. I cannot for the life of me figure out why or what is the reason. If I flash back to stock Samsung firmware, everything is fine, works perfectly but no custom firmware.

CM12.1 out right hangs during install in TWRP. The only way I was able to install it is via Cyanogen Recovery which I flashed via odin then attempted to install the rom but even still ends up in random reboots during first bootup and a few times during optimizing apps.

Just a note, I have been doing full wipes (cache, data, system) prior to flashing the ROMs. I don't know what else to do. CM12.1 works really great and smooth but cannot use it because of these random reboots. Can anyone shed some light so I can have a successful flash?

ALSO, I would like to note one suspicion I have and that is my tablet came preloaded with KOT49H.T520UEUAOD1 (T520UEUAOD1_T520XARAOD1_XAR) Samsung Firmware Build. I wonder if perhaps something with this latest build shipped is causing my troubles but am not sure.

Loudspeaker rattle on AOSP roms

I've got some strange behavior while using AICP ROM on my Note 3 N9005 (hlte). So, when I search something through Google Voice, there's a noticable rattle in the loudspeaker while the "assistant" answers... I also noticed that loudspeaker rattle only while playing short phrases. For example, if I ask "the weather in New York", there would be a rattle, but if ask "who is Michael Jackson" - the sound would be absolutely clear..So I'm sure that this is not a hardware issue. Does anyone face it and is there a fix for that?

Jr Member here. How do I report bugs for specific ROMs?

I recently downloaded and installed the ALBE S6 port to my Galaxy S4 and found some features that brick your phone when enabled. These features are not mentioned in the development thread, and I'm too new to post a reply. Suggestions?

setting up an Email account in the default Email app causes the phone to hard reboot and spin at the samsung splash screen forever.
Enabling energy saving mode and rebooting causes the phone to spin at the samsung splash screen upon next reboot.
Both issues can be resolved by restoring backed up data.

Xposed vs Custom ROMs - What's the difference?

Hey, :D

So, I've flashed a custom ROM (CyanogenMod) once in my old phone long back.
Now, I'm was thinking of the same for my Xperia L, main reason being, to remove bloatware and speed up the phone.
As I was searching for a MOD(not to be confused with modules of xposed. by MOD, I meant ROM) that would suit me, I came across this xposed , bragging to be an alternative, a superior one, for ROM - without the need to flash.
Some even say phrases like stock+xposed (wouldn't that addition of xposed to the stock, make the stock nomore a stock actually?:confused:)
Read a couple of threads on the title, which only conveys the user's opinions on which is better.
I'd really like to know about how xposed is different than ROMs.
Though I kind of believe, "You don't know it, then you probably don't need it", I'd like to be educated on it, before getting into flashing a custom ROM.

Is there a 3rd party such as Cyanogenmod available for this phone? It seems there is no effort toward making a 3rd party ROM.

Wirless charging + different kernels, ROMS

Hello,

I've been experiencing strange occurrences with my wireless qi chargers. I have find that different kernels or ROM make the wirless charging inconsistent.
Example the charging will go on and off every 6 seconds etc.
Anyone else experience this?
